Those jobs have different buyers, and one brand name was muddying both. BMC now holds two brands that each make one promise. 8gnc is the agency that makes the work visible. br8n is the practice that makes the capability yours. The AI-delivery practice. It installs AI-delivery capability into how an organization already runs, starting with a Working Intelligence Audit and ending with the client owning the system. br8n absorbs the advisory work Michael Sebastian previously published as M.L. Sebastian.

What was Branded Mayhem, and what changed?
Branded Mayhem was the agency: brand strategy, identity, websites, content, growth. What changed is that the AI-installation work, already happening inside client engagements, now has its own brand and its own promise. Bundling both under one agency name asked buyers to decode which company they were talking to. The split removes the decoding. If anything, the restructure protects the craft side from reading as automation.
What changes for current clients?
Nothing but clarity. The legal entity, Branded Mayhem Collective LLC, does not change. Contracts, pricing, deliverables, and points of contact stay exactly as they are. Agency clients see the 8gnc name where they used to see Branded Mayhem; practice clients see br8n. That is the whole change.
What happened to M.L. Sebastian?
The personal advisory brand consolidated into br8n as part of the restructure. The essays continue: the Substack publishes under Michael Sebastian's byline on the br8n masthead, and mlsebastian.com now routes to br8n.io. The author stays; the extra brand name retires.
Why these names?
The 8 in both names is the infinity sign stood upright. Read them fast and you get agency and brain. Read them the way the founder does and you get infinite agency and infinite brain: an operation built AI-native, on integrity, ethics, and original thought, that stops putting a fixed ceiling on what an agency can provide and on what an organization's own infrastructure can carry. The names hold that idea in four characters each.
